"Damsel In Distress" Drawn 6/13/7
(Links to self portraits below.)
This is my 6th self-portrait, and pretty much exemplified my mood when I drew it. I *originally* didn't mean to take it *quite* so far into cheesy-pulpy land. It was meant to be a surreal exploration of how it feels to be chained to personal responsibilities, and as I always do, I turned it into something a little schpicier, which... made me feel a bit better.
That, my dears, is the joy of art.
Vive le pulp!

Pulp art is some of the best. You do have a knack for it. Nice job.

That is a *huge* compliment in my book, being a fan of the classic pulp-cover. I'm so nostalgic, and it's practically a lost art form. Thanks *so* much for the post, and the encouragement!

You're most welcome. And I agree that classic pulp-art is nearly a lost art form. It is some of the best, most fun art I've ever seen.

Thanks a-*lot*. I use a photo reference, of course, but it's easy to be uber-impossibly-picky drawing myself... and that's one thing I've learned you *can't* be with pulp. It was always free & easy art. That being said, I think this is one of the closest self-portraits, along with "Masquerade" and "Thar Be A First Mate".
Thanks again! Cheers!
